Republic Gold Limited (ASX:RAU) Surface Trenching Completed At Amayapampa Gold Project

ASX:RAU) are pleased to announce that the Company has received the final results of infill grade control trenching at its Amayapampa Gold Project ("Amayapampa" or the "Project") located in Bolivia.
Republic Gold Managing Director, Mr John Kelly said that "with the total infill trenching resulting in average grades of 70% higher than the oxide material in the mine model, we continue to be increasingly encouraged by the upside the Amayapampa project presents. Even when the one high result in Trench No 64 is removed, the average grade of these trenches is still 44% higher. A common metric in Australia combines grade and ore body thickness, and in this context Amayapampa demonstrates superior class."
"This again confirms that the more sampling that is done, the more support there is for higher grades. This work will now allow us to calculate grade control tonnes and grade for the surface 10 metres of the open pit and adjust the mine model to increase the grade and ounces in the oxide zone. This in turn will allow our mine planners to schedule the highest grade ore delivery to the process plant and in the most efficient manner."
A total of 13 trenches have now been completed in the main zone of mineralisation at Amayapampa, with trench lengths ranging from 95 to 160 metres to adequately cover the very wide established mineralised body.
