Update Backreef-1 Production Test
Melbourne, April 26, 2012 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Oil Basins Limited (
ASX:OBL) wishes to make the following announcement so as to keep the market fully informed.
The Company, as operator Backreef Area wishes to advise that its earthmoving contractor has advised on 24 April 2012 that it had encountered unexpected difficult road making conditions in area in its the preparation of the road to the well/camp sites areas resulting in the bogging of the contractor's Caterpillar D8 dozer.
Consequently, we now expect that the road and well site preparations will now not be completed until the week of the 4 May 2012.
OBL has in the interim, received the majority of its prerequisite stakeholder approvals and subject to receipt of the last couple of formal stakeholder approvals being received to conduct the test, OBL now expects the Backreef-1 Production Test to commence during (or slightly before) the week of 15 May 2012.
