Renowned architect and artist, Mr. William Lim, was invited to be the officiating guest of the award presentation ceremony.

This is the second time the "GoHome Interior Design Awards" have been held to recognise, reward and celebrate design excellence across the industry. To qualify for Phillips & Future Lighting sponsored "Best Home Lighting Design" award, participants must incorporate Phillips LED lighting fixtures into their project. The prized winner of this award, ED Design Ltd, was selected by a judging panel comprised of representatives from Phillips & Future Lighting. Edward Lau, Design Director of ED Design Ltd, was also crowned the "Most Talented Designer" award. According to the report by Euromonitor International Ltd, the customer value spent on private residential interior design services in Hong Kong recorded a total of HK$ 2.7 billion in 2014, an increase of 26% compared to the total of HK$ 2.1 billion in 2013. Furthermore, new property developments have spent a total of HK$1.2 billion in 2014 on the interior design of show flats, an increase of 1.2 times compared to the total of HK$525 million in 2011. Referring to the data from Rating and Valuation Department, the completions of private domestic housing totaled a record-breaking amount of 15,700 units in 2014, the highest record of private completions since 2006. It is expected that the demand for interior design services in Hong Kong will continue to increase as the government continues to actively boost the housing supply in the city.

Hong Kong has become a regional leader in developing the design industry and continues to serve as a rich source of innovative products and design talents across the region. The interior design market in Hong Kong is no longer confined to the Pearl River Delta, but the entire China. This in turn creates greater opportunities for local interior design companies to expand their businesses into the vast mainland and share their ideas, knowledge, and resources on home design limitlessly.

Ms. Carrie Law, General Manager of iProperty Group Hong Kong said, "GoHome.com.hk, Hong Kong's No. 1 online property platform, is committed to supporting the territory's interior design industry. With over 10M pageviews, 800K unique visitors and 800K search monthly, we become the key to unlock this growing business potential for all interior design gurus. The winning projects will most certainly inspire more groundbreaking, eco-friendly and innovative designs in the future.

Ms. Vince Lau, Marketing & Communication Manager of BoConcept Hong Kong, said, "Clean lines and minimal décor will continue to be popular as they are the embodiment of contemporary elegance and luxury.
