Asian Equities News 2015-07-23: Early Stage Zinc, Copper and Mineral Sands Projects Show Potential

Sheffield Resources Limited (ASX:SFX) has announced the discovery of four new mineral sands prospects from first-pass aircore drilling at the company's Eneabba Mineral Sands Project in Western Australia. With High value rutile and zircon mineral grading up to 36%. Sheffield's Managing Director Bruce McQuitty said "We are confident the region will yield further discoveries, enabling us to build on our existing high grade Resource base of 4.5Mt of contained valuable heavy mineral."

Rimfire Pacific Mining (ASX:RIM) has said that it had intersected 4m @ 6.5% Cu and 2.3g/t Au, confirming significant Copper and Gold Potential at Fifield Project in Eastern Australia. The results to date on the "Eclipse Trend" are seen as very encouraging and may represent the upper or outer parts of a much larger copper-gold system.

Brumby Resources Ltd (ASX:BMY) soon to be renamed Marindi Metals Limited, advised that the maiden drilling program at its Zinc Project in Western Australia is planned to commence in late August. Brumby's Managing Director, Mr Joe Treacy, said exploration at the Newman Zinc Project was still at a relatively immature stage despite the project having had more than $15 million spent by previous explorers. "The work Marindi has undertaken over the past year suggests that the Prairie deposit and more recent Wolf discovery form part of a very substantial base metals system extending along the Prairie Downs Fault Zone," he said
