Texon Petroleum Limited (ASX:TXN) advises that the fourth well on its Leighton project, Tyler Ranch #3, has reached a total depth of 2,743 metres (9,000 feet) after intersecting oil and gas shows in the target Olmos reservoir. The Olmos reservoir properties as indicated by wireline logs in Tyler Ranch #3 are similar to the first three Leighton production wells (Peeler #1, Tyler Ranch #1, and Tyler Ranch #2) all 3 of which are producing oil and gas from the Olmos.

Texon Petroleum Limited (ASX:TXN) advises that it plans to drill a fifth Leighton Olmos production well and that the well will be deepened to investigate whether the Eagle Ford Shale contains producible oil and gas at Leighton.

Texon Petroleum Limited (ASX:TXN) advises that the first well on its Leighton prospect - Peeler #1 has tested oil and gas at an unstablized rate of approximately 400 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) comprising some 250bopd and 900 mcf of gas per day and 90 barrels per day of water through a quarter inch choke at a flowing pressure at the surface of about 1,500psi.
