Tomra Systems (OSL:TOM) Senior Vice President Business Development, Trond K. Johannessen, has decided to leave TOMRA to enter into a new position outside the company.

Restructuring charges of 22 MNOK in third quarter 2008 will yield a cost reduction effect of 60 MNOK in 2009. Operating profit up 8% in third quarter 2008 compared to third quarter 2007 when disregarding currency effects and restructuring charges. Cash flow from operations of 106 MNOK, up from 83 MNOK in third quarter 2007.

Tomra Systems (Other OTC:TMRAY) One of TOMRA's existing discount chain customers in Germany has placed an order to implement the donation functionality for almost 5000 machines in their stores in Germany. After the success of donation via RVMs in the Scandinavian markets, this will by far be the biggest nationwide donation program run by a Tomra customer. Joint target with the customer is to finalize the rollout during 2008.

Tomra Systems (Other OTC:TMRAY) Tomra Systems ASA has completed a reduction of the share capital by way of cancellation of 9,670,139 shares at par value NOK 1.00. The capital reduction was granted by the ordinary General Meeting held 23 April 2008 as part of a share buyback program. Under this program, 10,000,000 TOMRA shares were bought back in the period between 20 December 2006 and 5 March 2008. The buyback transactions were continuously disclosed at the Oslo Stock Exchange and on www.tomra.com. Out of the total 10,000,000 shares that were bought back, 329,861 shares were used to fulfill TOMRA`s obligations under employee stock option programs. Thus, the total number of shares outstanding after this capital reduction is 155,020,078, each with a par value of NOK 1.00.

Tomra Systems (Other OTC:TMRAY) Tomra Systems ASA and Sumitomo Corporation have signed an agreement to form a 50/50 Joint Venture in Japan. The establishment of this Joint Venture is a formalization of the cooperation between Tomra and Sumitomo since 2004. The purpose of the new Joint Venture is to further develop the market for automated collection of beverage containers in Japan with the use of Tomra's technology solutions.
