Agfa-Gevaert (EBR:AGFB) ORBIS(TM) Clinical Information System to be deployed progressively at AP-HP's 37 hospitals Paris, France/Mortsel, Belgium- September 30, 2008 - 12:30 CET Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, announces today that it has won a contract to install its ORBIS(TM) solution at 37 hospitals France, belonging to the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) group. The project, worth 95 million Euros, is regarded as one of the most ambitious deployments of a healthcare IT solution in Europe, as AP-HP admits more than one million hospitalized patients per year along with five million outpatients, and has a capacity of around 23,000 beds in the Ile de France region and an additional three facilities outside that region. To bring this project to a successful conclusion, Agfa HealthCare will manage a consortium of three other companies: Cap Gemini, HP and Oracle.
