Hafslund Highlights second-quarter 2008

* Satisfactory Group profit from operations, despite low power prices in the quarter. * Renewable Energy Corporation (REC) share investment's value decline in quarter: NOK 704 million (vs. value growth of NOK 6,513 million in 2Q 2007). * After-tax profit, excl. REC: NOK 469 million, up 119 percent. * Operating profit, excluding REC: NOK 595 million - up 49 percent. * Return on equity, excluding REC: 20 percent for the 12-month period ending 30 June 2008 (16 percent for the 2007 accounting year). * Cash flow from operations: NOK 679 million (2Q 2007: NOK 196 million).
