Australasian Investment Review Stock Market Press Releases and Company Profile

Sydney, Nov 19, 2007 (ABN Newswire) - Biopharmaceutical company, Apollo Life Sciences (AOP) today launched a range of advanced skincare products via its marketing division, Apollo Applied Sciences (OTC), to be sold in Myer stores Australia wide.

Apollo said its Ellipse Skin Science products use the company's Intradel nano-technology to provide superior skincare protection and rejuvenation.

The Intradel techonology is used to deliver nano-sized water droplets, which carry ingredients that protect and rejuvenate deep into the skin.

Apollo said the core function of Intradel is to meet the world-wide demand for needle-free prescription drug delivery systems, which have been designed to treat diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and psorisis.

However, the versatility of the technology has allowed Apollo to more into skin care products that have a lower barrier to market entry compared to therapeutic drugs.

Apollo CEO John Priest said the distribution of the products in Myer stores will allow Apollo to generate cash flow while the company progresses clinical trials of its needle-free therapeutic drugs.

"We also have plans next year to sell our skincare products into retail store in the USA – sales brokers and distributors have already been arranged," said the director of OTC Marketing Division, Nick Cakovski.

Ellipse Skin Science will be available in Myer nationally from mid-December.

Apollo Life Sciences remained flat today, closing at 20 cents.
