Anglo Australian Resources NL (ASX:AAR) To Proceed With Development Study Of The Koongie Copper Zinc Project

Perth, Sep 10, 2010 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Anglo Australian Resources NL (ASX:AAR) (PINK:AAURF) is pleased to announce it has appointed Mr Nigel Spicer, principal of MineSure, an independent mining engineering consultant, to immediately proceed with a Scoping Study Report into development of the Company's Koongie Copper Zinc Project in the East Kimberley District of Western Australia.

Mr Spicer brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and relevant experience having recently been involved with several copper and base metal project developments including the Lady Annie Project in Queensland, Sally Malay (Savannah), Horseshoe Lights and Nifty Projects in Western Australia and the North Parkes Project in New South Wales.

The Scoping Study Report will be based on new JORC Code resource estimates now being produced by the independent mining consultants Coffey Mining Pty Ltd following the recent successful drilling programme at the Sandiego Deposit - Refer ASX Announcements on 23 July and 30 August 2010.

The Scoping Study will examine various development and treatment options for commercial development of the Sandiego Deposit. In particular, the potential for an open pit mining operation at the recently discovered, high grade and relatively shallow copper mineralisation at the top of the Sandiego Deposit will be fully evaluated.

The Board has also allocated funds for further exploration and development drilling at the Koongie Copper Zinc Project during the next three months.
