Opens Store in Londons Prestigious Royal Exchange

London, Mar 15, 2012 AEST (ABN Newswire) - (Global Fashion Wire) Harrys of London, the innovative British men's footwear and accessories brand opens its third London retail store in the heart of The City at the prestigious Royal Exchange.

Originally built in 1565, the Grade 1 listed building has been rebuilt twice due to fire, with the present construction being built in 1844. 2001 saw an extensive remodelling of the building into a luxury shopping destination, allowing some of the finest luxury brands including Hermès, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton to open retail stores.

Opening on the 15th March, the store has been designed in the brand's signature 'Library' motif by London based Japanese architect Tomoko Azumi and her T.N.A. Design Studio together with Creative Director, Kevin Martel.

The brands signature black embossed boxes are arranged like books on soaring 'bookcases' with the stock accessible by sliding wooden library ladders. Azumi has also recently completed the brand's new shop in Tokyo's Hankyu Men's department store and the flagship freestanding store in Abu Dhabi's Marina Mall.

Giuseppe Bonfiglio, Chief Executive Officer says of the opening "Opening the third store in The City is a natural progression for Harrys of London's growth. We currently serve numerous customers in this area through our Mayfair and Piccadilly stores and the Harrys of London online store. With Royal Exchange being such a key historical landmark in London, we are very excited about our new home and the opportunity to offer our exceptional products and customer service to such an international customer."
