Drilling at the Achmmach Tin Project
Perth, Feb 27, 2008 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Kasbah Resources Limited (Kasbah)(ASX: KAS) is please to provide this update as to its progress at its Achmmach Tin Project in Morocco. The objectives of the Phase 1 exploration drill programme are to explore near surface conceptual targets to assess the opportunity for shallow open pit tin mining in the eastern end of the project and to verify drilling previously undertaken by ONHYM.
In Phase1, 4,000m of diamond drilling is planned and to date 3,300m have been completed. The remainder of the drilling, assaying and analysis of results which are required to complete the Phase 1 programme will be completed in the March quarter.
Kasbah drill holes (AD001 - AD008) were following up high grade surface rock chip results and testing conceptual near surface targets outside the principal target horizon. Assessment of this structural model is ongoing and continually reviewed as additional results become available.
Subsequent drilling in this area has returned to systematic testing of the principal target horizon with early success in drill holes AD009 and AD010 which included intercepts in AD009 of:
- 1m @ 1.9% Sn from 52m
- 3m @ 1.2% Sn from 93m
- 1m @ 1.4% Sn from 140m
- 1m @ 2.4% Sn from 145m
- 3m @ 1.8% Sn from 200m (including 1m @ 4.08% Sn from 200m)
- 2m @ 1.19% Sn from 205m.
And from AD010:
- 12m @ 0.57% Sn from 74m (including 1m @ 1.45% Sn from 78 m)
