Perth, Dec 18, 2008 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Golden State Resources Limited (ASX:GDN)(PINK:GSRCF) announce that work-over operations on the Paradox Basin #1 gas discovery well are proceeding as planned. Prior to the planned re-perforation and re-completion Golden State commenced a 24 hour flow test from the Ismay production interval at 9pm (Perth time). The initial flow test was witnessed by representatives of the Bureau of Land Management. Gas samples have been collected for analysis.
Testing will continue through‐out the day.
The well flowed gas at 1.168 MMcf/day at 10 am (Perth time) through a 24/64" choke. Wellhead pressure at 510 psi. Produced gas is being flared.
The Ismay Formation of the Pennsylvanian Paradox Formation was previously tested at rates of 0.5 MMscf/d from three perforated intervals. The currently perforated intervals are 9727' to 9732', 9740' to 9760' and 9850' to 9860'.
After the 24 hour flow test, Paradox Basin #1 will be re‐perforated with high density deep penetrating charges over the zones 9747' to 9770', 9783' to 9800', 9810' to 9818', 9830' to 9842' and 9850' to 9860' before retesting.
