Coalspur Mines Limited (ASX:CPL) Appoints Mr David Leslie As Vice President Of Technical Services
Mr Leslie is a Geological Engineer and is registered as a Professional Engineer (Mining) in the province of Alberta, Canada. He brings to Coalspur a mining career spanning over twenty years of experience in the coal and oilsands mining industry. Mr Leslie most recently was working with Teck Resources (NYSE:TCK) as Manager of Mining Engineering. Prior to that Mr Leslie has worked with AMEC Consulting (LON: AMEC) (Principal Mining Engineer), Synenco Energy (Manager, Mine Engineering), Elk Valley Coal and Fording Coal.
As Vice President, Technical Services Mr Leslie will be responsible for all phases of exploration, geology and mine engineering in the development of the Hinton Coal Project. Mr Leslie will be based out of the Calgary office.
The Company's Managing Director and CEO, Mr Gene Wusaty, said "We are very pleased that Dave has agreed to join the Company as an executive at this critical stage of the Company's development. His technical mining experience is a key link for the requirements of our growing management team."
Mr Leslie is expected to formally commence his role with the Company on June 1, 2010.
