WestSide Corporation Limited (ASX:WCL) Drilling Update At Paranui Coal Seam Gas Pilot
Brisbane, July 9, 2010 AEST (ABN Newswire) - WestSide Corporation Limited (
ASX:WCL) is drilling three new appraisal wells at its Paranui CSG pilot in ATP 769P near Moura in Queensland's Bowen Basin. The Paranui #13 well is the last of the three appraisal wells which will aim to test gas and water flow rates from the Baralaba coal seams.
Selected coal seams in the three new appraisal wells - Paranui #11, 12 and 13 will be underreamed and cavitated before the wells are completed for testing of gas and water flows.
The performance of these cavitated vertical wells will be compared to the results from the existing three Paranui pilot wells which were subjected to fracture stimulation treatments.
The Paranui #13 well spud on 6 July. Surface casing has been set and the well is drilling ahead at 142 metres towards its final target depth of 1,020m. The coal seams will be logged, underreamed and cavitated and the well will be suspended for later production testing.

Forthcoming program
Drilling will continue to the target depth and the coal seams will be logged, underreamed and cavitated. The well will be suspended for later production testing.
