Sino Gas And Energy Holdings Limited (ASX:SEH) Continue To Achieve Strong Gas Flow Rates

Perth, June 8, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - Sino Gas And Energy Holdings Limited (googlechartASX:SEH) is pleased to announce an initial gas flow rate of 362,000 scf/day on its TB03 Gas Discovery Well.

Following the successful tests of an upper zone in the TB07 well (gas flow rate of 2,900,000 scf/day) and TB09 well (gas flow rate of 1,150,500 scf/day), a re-interpretation of the TB03 electronic logs first obtained when the well was drilled highlighted the potential of an additional upper zone not previously tested.

Sino Gas's testing contractor, CCDC Changqing Downhole Service Company (CCDC) has now perforated that single zone and established a constant gas flow rate without the need to fracture stimulate. As of 09:00 hours yesterday, 7 June 2011, the well had been continuously flowed for 14 hours at a rate of 362,000 scf/day and tubing head pressure of 160psi.

As with Sino Gas's previous flow testing activities over 2010 and 2011, the initial flow rate on TB03 exceeds the longer term average commercial flow rate of 125,000 scf/day determined by RISC for an economic field development.

Sino Gas's Managing Director, Stephen Lyons said that the initial TB03 result was yet another demonstration of the significant commercial potential of Sino Gas's fields.

"The TB03 well is approximately 7- 8 km's North of the TB07 and TB09 wells where significant commercial gas flow rates have been achieved. To have followed last weeks successful TB09 test with another commercial flow rate further North in the acreage is very pleasing," said Mr Lyons.

Testing will continue to measure the wells performance at various orifice sizes and to perform a 'shut-in' test to obtain relevant formation measurements. Once this is completed Sino Gas will make a determination as to whether to increase the productivity of the pay zone through hydraulic stimulation.
