HIGHLIGHTS

Oil & Gas

- Continuation of Umiat permitting activities, community and agency consultation and development of the Project Description and Plan of Development in anticipation of the 2012-13 drilling season

- Drilling and completion of the Welch Foundation #3 well at Hoskins Mound, Texas

- Continuation of drilling program with new wells commenced at Barbers Hill and Black Bayou, Texas

- Recommenced re-completions on the J.B. Watkins #154 well at Black Bayou and the Constantin #2 well at Leeville, Lousiana

- Operations remain on track to achieve targeted increases in production over 2012 ? MoU entered into with ExxonMobil for CO2 in Wyoming

Clean Energy

- Significant progress made towards securing cornerstone investor and joint venture partner in China - GCL Projects Ltd

- Successful continuation of operation of multiple gasifiers into the Downstream Processing Facility at Chinchilla

- Progress towards completion of necessary applications for the proposed gasifier 6 UCG Demonstration Project in Wyoming

- Progress of UCG in Poland including conclusion of land access agreements and identification of exploration drilling sites and establishment of Krakow project office to support activities

Coal

- The development of the proposed Teresa coal asset continues to proceed to plan

- All required equipment and services have been sourced in preparation for initial 91 hole drilling program on the Teresa project site planned for April 2012

- Terms of Reference for the Teresa project as part of the Environmental Impact Statement process requirements was made available for public consultation

Sapex

- Identified shale oil opportunities in the Arkaringa Basin

- More than 1,000km of 3D Seismic have identified traditional oil opportunities

- In the final stages of securing two new Cooper Basin petroleum leases

- Aim to do more 3D seismic on key sites to define future drilling targets of both shale oil and traditional oil
