Sunshine Coast Council to rollout Invigor's Insights
- Insights Visitor to deliver analytics for the Sunshine Coast Council
- First major deployment of Insights Visitor integrating community infrastructure
- First major deployment to assist local government in connecting with their communities
The rollout is a joint project in conjunction with network provider BigAir and hardware provider Ruckus and will be set up as a demonstration to show how data analytics and mobile applications can make the Sunshine Coast an even more liveable, workable and sustainable region.
SCC is leading the country in delivering a Smart City vision with a range of new technology supported services to contribute toward reshaping the region's economy. The Wi-Fi connectivity component of the program will provide free Wi-Fi coverage across key locations, these include the council's libraries and galleries, business precinct open spaces, council courtyards and parks. As part of the demonstration Invigor will assist SCC by providing analytics in respect of users of the Wi-Fi and other sensors in a key public area in Caloundra.
Invigor's Executive Chairman Mr Gary Cohen said: "This is an excellent opportunity for Invigor to partner with the SCC to make a Smart City a reality by developing technology that is really about benefits o the community. With the most advanced analytics capability on the market our Insights Visitor solution will enable SCC to take the lead in delivering services that residents, businesses and visitors are coming to expect in city centres."
Invigor presented at the Australian Smart Communities Association National Seminar on Digital Disruption on the 24th of June, speaking about technology & disruption in a data centric community.
"We expect to see similar initiatives introduced in other regions and through this partnership Invigor will take position at the forefront of analytics solutions for these systems," said Mr Cohen.
