AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. (AMS:AMG) AMG Subsidiary Timminco Provides An Update On Solar Grade Silicon Operations
AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. (AMS:AMG) Amsterdam, 12 January 2009 --- AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V.'s ("AMG", EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: "AMG") 50.4% subsidiary Timminco Limited ("Timminco"; TSX: TIM), produced 554 metric tons (mt) of solar grade silicon during the fourth quarter, representing an increase of 62% over that produced during the third quarter and resulting in total production of 1,214 mt for the 2008 year. Shipments of solar grade silicon for the fourth quarter were 423 mt. As a result, Timminco achieved total shipments for the 2008 year of 1,044 mt.
