China Minsheng Bank (SHA:600016) to Launch Credit Card with China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670)
Shanghai, June 8, 2009 AEST (ABN Newswire) - China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd (SHA:600016)(CMBC) has launched the JCB branded "CMBC - CEA Credit Card" in cooperation with China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (HKG:0670).
JCB card issuing to consumers in China has also been expanding to meet the growing needs of the market for international credit cards. As of June 1, 2009, seven banks (Bank of China HKG:3988, Bank of Shanghai, China Everbright Bank, China Merchants Bank HKG:3968, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank SHA:600000, China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd., and Ping An Bank Co. Limited) have already launched JCB brand credit card issuing programs, and the cardmember base is more than two million in China.
